Everything that I‘ve achieved professionally in my life I owe to the University.
Europa Master
Birutė Karakaitė, Lithuania
Freelance consultant for public entities
Europa Master is such a unique study program. Three countries, three languages - it was unforgettable and valuable experience. It is unbelievable how many things I’ve learned at the University I use in any job I do. The perception gained during the studies became essential in making or trying to make rational decisions. My advice to current and future students – be not afraid to try new and sometimes challenging things!
Intercultural Communication
Arif Siswanto, Indonesia
Marketing and Communication Specialist
During my studies at the University of Opole, I had a chance to realize an internship in Berlin and also spend two semesters in Spain through the Erasmus + program. These experiences, together with the knowledge gained at the University, definitely were the game-changers for my career.
Stosunki międzynarodowe
Julia Liashuk, Ukraine
Financial reporting manager, State Street Bank
I spent two fantastic years at the University of Opole. Thanks to the University, one of my old dreams came true - I spent a semester on Erasmus in Germany. If I had not studied at the University of Opole, I’d not have become the person I am now. Most of the positive traits of my character were built during my studies at the University. Nevertheless, the greatest treasure I found at the UO during my studies (beside the knowledge & love to explore new things) are brilliant people who also studied there, some of them are my best friends till nowadays.
MA Paleobiology program graduate
Dmitrii Grigoriev, Russia
An Assistant Professor at Saint Petersburg State University,
Research Associate at Zoological Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences
I can say without a doubt that studying at the University of Opole was one of the best learning experiences I have ever had. It gave me the opportunity to recall some of my knowledge at a different angle, learn completely new disciplines, meet new colleagues, friends and have a lot of practice to improve my English. Our studies were held in a very friendly atmosphere and I keep in touch with some fellow students and professors.
Palaeobiology
Bruno Camilo de Silva
Director of the CI2Paleo (Centre for Research in Paleobiology and Paleoecology) and Paleontological Collections at Sociedade de História Natural (Torres Vedras, Portugal) The decision to study at the University of Opole was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. Apart from the knowledge I gained at the University, it was very important to experience an international environment and to acquire critical thinking skills.
Europa Master
Beatrice Senese
Project manager in a digital advertising field I enjoyed very much the familiar atmosphere we had within our Europa Master program, and how closely the responsible professors, Ms. Kulska and Ms. Curylo, worked and observed us. I could really tell how important it was for them personally that we have a positive experience during our studies.
Europa Master
Francisco Herrera Rivadeneira
Office worker in the consulting firm specialised in EU Public Affairs
I have very fond memories of conversations and meetings with the residents of Opole. I miss the fact that it was a cozy, small town, so I could walk everywhere. If I wanted to be in the city center or on Bolko Island, a green area to relax, I could just walk about 15 minutes and be there. Opole is a nice city with good restaurants, tasty food and affordable prices. I also miss the Foreign Language Library in Opole. I used to go there to teach Spanish, to learn Polish and to practice French.

Accounts Receivable Specialists Erasmus is a great opportunity which you have to use if you can because this is priceless experience. Studies abroad is a wonderful experience. It is a nice practice in the field of education, grading, presentation systems, and relations between students. And, of course, new friends, new communication experiences, and even life in a dormitory with international students. That is why, if possible, it is necessary to take part in this program to broaden your horizons.
International relations
dr Vasyl Dunets
Head of the laboratory of museum pedagogy and coordinator of various projects at the National Center "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine"
I definitely remember with a smile on my face the wonderful two years I spent at the UO. I always emphasize that I finished my master's degree in Ukraine, but I opened the "door" to the new world at the University of Opole. Studying in Opole helped me extend my knowledge and find myself. I sincerely thank the University of Opole for the opportunity to join the group of distinguished alumni and become an Ambassador. For me it's a great joy, honor and responsibility.
Palaeobiology
Yuliya Glazyrina
Deputy Director on Development of the Perm Regional Museum All the lectures and laboratories were organized very well, and the professors did their best to put us into the cutting-edge of the Earth sciences. However, the most memorable moments were connected not with the classes, but with the outdoor field trips - summer school in Krasejow and field trip to Opawskie Mountains.
Artistic education in the field of visual arts
Justyna Janetzek
Artist
My fantastic memory from the time as a student at the UO is the wonderful work with the painting professors during our 2 week stay in Rzeszow. The intensive work with nature, corrections and technical discussions with the professors helped me to understand how important in our work are sensitivity, observation and the shape of the reality around us.
Graphic design and new media
Karolina Lisik
Founder of the Interarts foundation which promotes eco-friendly fashion
I am very impressed by the level of artwork and creative awareness of current students. I think that the University of Opole prepares its graduates well for professional career.
Physics
dr Marcin Jakubowski
Physicist in Max Planck Institute for Physics in Greifswald
Today, a student who will choose Physics at the University of Opole and decide to work in the field of nuclear fusion, plasma physics – still has a chance for an international career. It’s absolutely possible. There are scientists, such as Prof. Książek or Prof. Pawelec, who collaborate with the biggest laboratories in this field. If a young person is good enough, the doors to the world of big science open in front of him/her.
Chemistry
dr Paweł Dżygiel
Head of the industrial bioanalytical laboratory in the Research and Development department of F. Hoffmann - La Roche
It is important to meet the right people on your path. You can be a hard-working and very good student, but without good teachers, mentors who will guide you and help you find the right path, achieving success is not easy. I was lucky to meet such people at the University of Opole. You also have to be brave and take advantage of the opportunities that fate brings.
Artistic education in the field of visual arts
Marta Rostecka
Visual arts teacher. Author and animator of creative workshops for children and teenagers
The University of Opole and the Art Institute were oriented towards making us use our freedom, to be able to develop ourselves. We were given very interesting tasks, problems to solve, which we had to face on our own, exactly like what I am doing myself at the moment. During the studies, we also had internships, great methodology classes led by Mr. Krzysztof Kowalski (very valuable approach and knowledge, which I actually use till today). I wish I could go back to those lectures to remember what was said over a decade ago.
Artistic education in the field of visual arts
Krzysztof Klusik
Artist-painter
The Institute of Art was a very good place to create a vision related to what I want to do in the future. There were so many different studios and the professors were open and very helpful. I was able to realize my ideas under the supervision of the professors and that was very helpful.
I would definitely choose the University of Opole again. I think it was a very good place. You can learn a lot of things when there is a good environment and professors who want to help you realize your ideas.

dr Marek Pałasiński

In my opinion, the University prepared me really well for career, but besides studies, I was very acitve in the fields which helped me to break through, such as for example: language, participation in the projects, or in Summer School with Americans.

I really appreciate the years spent at the University of Opole and I always try to present my Alma Mater in the best possible way. My friends from different parts of the world always react very positively to the Europa Master program when I tell them about it. Studying in three countries makes a big impression on them.
Psychology
dr Jacek Buczny
Assistant professor at VU Amsterdam
(...) I decided to move to Opole for my second year. I think it was a very good decision. It was a decision that determined my entire professional life. I think that the most important thing when choosing a university is to choose one that offers a professional education based on the latest research and scientific articles. At that time, the Psychology program in Opole was professional and modern.
